Big, flat and extremely heavy, this 6" sparkling soft gold has been a personal favorite since its maiden bloom. Very tough and needs no winter protection here, but is very slow to increase. A little too short and only has a bud-count of 12-15, but this golden dinnerplate is beautiful and so many visitors have inquired as to a release dateŠ.well, here it is. SOLID BRASS is a reticent pod-parent, but pollen is very potent, and the first kids blooming in 2006 were dazzling in various shades of butter-yellow and gold. Several were selected for introduction due to large size, beautiful form, and copious amounts of lace and ruffling, but I'm not sure any of them has the sheer garden impact of parent SOLID BRASS.
