Breeding with ULTIMATE WEAPON is a bit like opening Pandora's BoxŠ.anything is possible! As a parent it is wildy unpredictable, throwing all shades of color as well as patterns, blue eyes, and even multiple eyes and edges. The most predictable feature is the high percentage of overall quality inherent in its kids. Attempts to increase the size of the gold edges on my pinks resulted in some of the most intense shades of rose and even rose-red we have seen thus far. From a cross of our bright rose-pink LACEY DREAM came several medium pinks, a lacey near-white, an 8" brown twisting fringed spider and this screeching hot deep rose bloom of incredible intensity and color saturation. This flower is the most brilliant rose daylily we have seen or grown and it is further enhanced by a vivid lime green and a sparkling gold filigree. Plants are huge and vigorous, and huge 4-way branched ramrod scapes proudly display 35-40 of these showy blooms. A real showoff in clump with unrivalled carrying power in this color class. Fragrant and re-blooms. We will see the first seedlings this summer. Fertile both ways, but a difficult pod-parent.
