RUBY CYCLONE

(Benz) tet 30" M. Dor. (Chief Tecumseh X Ruby Laser) This is far and away our most ruffled red introduction to date. A true ruby red, with blackish overtones, heavy sunfast substance and a small intense green throat, RUBY CYCLONE defies comparison to many of the new ruffled reds that fade and wilt in hot sun. Hard dormant. Makes medium sized plants with scapes that are top-branched, with a bud-count of about 20, much like parent RUBY LASER; in fact has plant habit nearly identical to tits famous parent. Only 41/2", and a very difficult pod-parent, thus, we have not used this ruffled little gem near enough. Crossed to RUBY LOCKET, it produced the most heavily ruffled red we have seen so far-garden name RUFFLED RED RUFFLES! We started using pollen more heavily last summer, and will see the results in 2004. $1500.00
