(Benz) tet 34" M. Dor. (Te. Siloam Virginia Henson x Angel's Smile) With so many excellent small eyed tetraploids competing for market space, I was a bit reticent to introduce another TET. SILOAM VIRGINIA HENSON seedling, but this 41/2" soft rose-pink with its precise 1/2" red band and matching red beaded picotee edge is, in a word-exquisite. And, as a parent, there are not enough superlatives to do it justice. We had 33 sibs in this cross, and many were very fine, but this one was far and away the largest and prettiest bloom. Also the only one to rebloom twice in the seedling bed! Never saw this again, as we have kept it in the shade, loaded with pods! Plants are medium in size and blue-green. Scapes are good, with 2-3 laterals and 20 buds. Always perfect, and much admired. Very fertile and easy both ways. The parent of both ON THE BORDER and PICOTEE GLAMOUR. as well as many more to come. $100.00
