PINK CARNATION

(Benz) tet 34" M. Dor. (Pink Fanfare X One Step Beyond) out of a cross of 13 sibs which included my EMERALD GLOW, I selected this bloom for its wonderful apple-blossom pink color and wide frilly form. On a second year selected plant, I saw about half the blooms were crested double style, and many were so heavily doubled, they resembled a big full double pink carnation. I let this sit undivided for 3 more seasons, and for 3 years nearly every bloom was full double, carnation-style. I just never got a good shot, and the clump shot pictured was taken as an afterthought on a nearly bloomed-out clump. Plants are medium-large and very vigorous, with beautiful branching and progressive bloom. Doesn't display multiple blooms for the showbench, but provides a long and impressive display in the garden. A clump of this in full bloom is absolutely stunning. $100.00
