LIPS OF FIRE

Dragon's Eye) X Tet. .Sophia's Lips] We loved Tom Wilson's beautiful diploid SOPHIA'S LIPS from the very first time we saw it, and quickly converted it to the tet level. LIPS OF FIRE comes closest to a full tetraploid counterpart of its famous parent in all aspects of flower and plant. One major difference being the evergreen plant-habit. But no worries, as it is as hardy as they come. This 5" porcelain finished near-white with the precise 1/2" vivid red band and brilliant green throat is, in a word-stunning! Colors are more brilliant than any we have obtained from T. DRAGON'S EYE, and in early morning blooms are almost fluorescent. Full sun brings out a wire-edge of brightest gold. Scapes are strong and well-branched, with a bud-count of 22. Fertile both ways, and we will bloom our first large crop of its seedlings this summer. $125.00
